The subject of Logistics in the automotive industry is studied in order to acquire basic knowledge necessary for the management of logistic processes characteristic of organizations operating in the automotive sector. The course should introduce students to the way of defining the realization of activities, in order to achieve efficient and effective logistics processes, with a special focus on customer relationship management and reclamation. The course approach will be based on the requirements of IATF 16949, as well as the use of engineering methods and process improvement techniques.

After completing the course and passing the exam, students will be able to identify the negative impacts on the efficiency and effectiveness of logistics processes in the automotive industry, to design processes, establish and manage the logistics processes in the automotive industry, from the point of minimum cost and maximum efficiency / effectiveness.

In the function of the outcome of education, the structure of the subject is the following: Area of application of the management system in the automotive industry, Closed-Loop Supply Chain, Product handling (materials), Product storage (materials), Processes supporting basic processes, Control level of inventory, Customer relationship management, Supply and management of supplier relationships, Process change management, Crisis management, Performance analysis and improvement of logistics processes.

Lectures with examples of analysis of logistics processes in the automotive industry; auditory exercises where students analyze detailed methods of managing logistic processes in the automotive industry.
