Acquiring basic knowledge about the process of development of a creative industry from a socioeconomic perspective, as well as a sociological understanding of art and culture. The main objective of the course is to enable students to understand the complex relationship between society and popular arts through the processes of commercialization, massification and globalization.

Acquiring knowledge and ability to: 1) analyze and critically reflect complex social processes on the macro and micro level, 2) educate engineers to understand the social significance, role, functions and characteristics of culture and art in modern society, in order to become more effective in the field of engineering animation, 3) understanding the functioning of creative organizations and artistic worlds, as well as the process of production, distribution and promotion of achievements.

Classes are held in the form of lectures and students` participation in the discussion focused on the problems exposed, as well as seminar papers elaboration, and seminar paper presentation, including students` discussions regarding seminar paper problems. Classes will also include creative workshops for the practical realization of the acquired knowledge.
