Educational goal:

The objective of the course is to acquire knowledge about the function, components and relations of the systems that are used for automation of production systems.

Educational outcome:

After passing the exam, the student will be able to: - differ pneumatic components in construction, function and purpose; - select and apply appropriate pneumatic components in the construction of the control scheme and physically implement scheme; - analyzes the real task of practical pneumatic control technology systems and construct a suitable pneumatic control scheme; - run by a pneumatic control system and analyzes his work; - test the operation of the pneumatic control system, on the eve of malfunctions and defects and to eliminate them; - maintain pneumatic control system according to the prescribed standards.

Course content:

• Introduction of automated systems • Pneumatic systems • Pneumatic drives • Pneumatic cylinders and motors • Pneumatic distributors, valves, regulators • Pneumatic control systems • Mechanical components (guides, clamps, etc.). • Initial operation of pneumatic systems • Detection of defects in a pneumatic systems • Maintenance of pneumatic systems

Teaching methods:

Teaching is conducted through lectures and laboratory exercises. Testing knowledge takes place through the defense of laboratory exercises, assignments and laying the final theoretical exam. Students can take the final exam it is successfully passes laboratory exercises. The final exam is in the form of test and related to theoretical questions.
