Introduction with the basic concepts and issues of analysis and synthesis of mechanisms and machines.

Ability to apply specific mechanisms in practical problems as well as perfoming dynamic analysis of mechanisms in real conditions. Application of mechanisms synthesis methods in practical problems.

Structure analysis of the mechanisms. Degree of freedom. Assembling mechanisms using kinematic groups - Artobolevsky condition. Analytical method for kinematic analysis of lever mechanism. Kinematic analysis of planetary-differential gear trains. Strain wave gear trains (Harmonic drive). Inertia force of mechanism. Kinetostatic forces. Analytical method for kinetostatic analysis of lever mechanism. CA methods for kinematic and kinetostatic analysis of mechanisms. Basics of lever linkages balancing. Fundamentals of rotor balancing. Cam mechanism. Mechanisms with intermittent motion. Basics of the synthesis of lever linkages.
