Educational goal:

The goal of the course is to obtain knowledge about the basic components used in pneumatic and hydraulic control systems and methods of their control in modern industrial and other environments.

Educational outcome:

The outcome of the subject is knowledge about the basic components used in in pneumatic and hydraulic control systems and methods of their control in modern industrial and other environments.

Course content:

The basic components of control systems: mechanical components, pneumatic components, hydraulic components, electrical components, mechatronic components. Actuators and control systems. Pneumatic cylinders and motors, hydraulic cylinders and motors, pneumatic and hydraulic clamps, pneumatic and hydraulic control valves, valves, regulators, forming of control scheme.

Teaching methods:

Teaching is conducted through lectures and laboratory exercises. During the exercises the student is required to complete practical tasks. Testing knowledge takes place through two tests and two colloquiums and the final exam, while before that a student has to do all the exercises. The final exam is written.
