The objective of the course is to train students to analyze stresses and deformation that occur in structural elements in construction in more complex cases of load. Introducing students with the analysis of stress conditions in thin-walled beams.
The acquired knowledge enables the student to recognize and analyze stresses and deformations for different load cases, as well as different forms of constructive elements. The student is trained to solve the problem in the special area of Strength of the materials independently.
The beams on the elastic foundation. Geometric characteristics of thin-walled beam. Shear center. Torsion of the thin-walled beams. Membrane analogy. Breth Bratho theorem. Bending of thin-walled beams. Composite rods: stresses and deformations. Nonprismatic beams. Stress concentrations. Dynamic loads. Impact load. Elasto-plastic analysis.
Lectures. Auditory practice. Consultations. In lectures, the theoretical part of the course content is presented and complemented by characteristic examples. In practice, additional tasks are completed to broaden the lecture content. The examples worked correspond to concrete examples from practice. Regularly, in previously determined terms, consultations are held every week.
