Mastering the theoretical and practical basics of Astronomy. Enable students to understand mathematical models of geodetic astronomy.
Acquired knowledge can be used in solving the specific geodetic problems, and it also represents the basis for taking other professional courses.
The basics of geodetic astronomy. Transformation of spherical coordinates using the rotation matrix. Transformation from horizontal to mes equatorial system. Transformation from the celestial equatorial to the ecliptic system, and vice versa. Differential changes of the basic astronomical triangle. Movement of celestial bodies under the influence of gravitational attraction. Basic tasks of theoretical astronomy. Orbital movement of two bodies. Kepler equations for closed orbit. The problem of equalizing the center. Planetary speed components. Calculating the ephemeride. Planetary masses. Orbita of the month. Calculating oscillating elements. Preliminary determination of the orbit. Time and time systems. Modern Dynamic Time Scales. UT variants. Observation of the Earth's rotation and determination of its parameters. Current sex and middle sex. Methods for determining vertical direction. Performing unevenness of Earth rotation and coordinates of pole based on BIH.
Forms of teaching: lectures; computer exercises; active participation; making tasks.
