Introduce participants to the basic role of urban development in the economic, institutional and cultural framework. Total land management phenomenon is observed in the historical continuity of its origin, development and changes over time.

Training course participants for the understanding of land management phenomena. Emphasis will be directed toward understanding the specific conditions of transition land management characteristic of our environment.

Lecture content: Land Management and the process of urbanization. Historical development of land management. The economic aspect of land management. Sociological aspect of land management. Physical space aspects of land management. Ecological aspects of land management. Specifics of land management in our community. Priorities and strategies for land management. The legal framework of land management. The institutional framework of land management. Real estate cadastre and land management. Urban construction sites. Relationship between planning and urban construction land market. Recommendations and guidelines for improving the process of land management in our community. Practice content: The specific task of the chosen test site in the city of Novi Sad, with the participation and assistance of relevant local institutions.

Teaching forms: lectures, computer practice, consultations, individual elaboration of compulsory tasks, colloquiums. Knowledge evaluation: guided and individual elaboration of obligatory tasks; tests; final examination in oral form (theoretical and practical).
