Obtaining knowledge necessary for the stress and strain analysis of statically indeterminate 1D structures due to permanent and moving loads.
Being qualified to calculate and analyse all types of statically indeterminate 1D structures used in structural engineering. Acquired knowledge can be used in succeeding advanced courses and in professional practice.
Linear beam teory equations overview. Conventional and matrix formulation. Statically indeterminate structures. Force method: basic system, conditional equations evaluation and solution, solution check. Displacement calculation. Influence line evaluation for statically unknown forces and internal forces. Influence lines for displacements. Elastic centroid. Symetric structures. Matrix analysis of frame structures: elementary unknown and basic notion. Plane structures: beam stiffness matrix, reaction vector, base stiffness matrix, transformation matrix, compability matrix, conditional equations, boundary conditions, node displacement evaluation, node forces evaluation. Truss structures. Orthagonal frames. Spatial girders. Continual girders. Software application for structural analysis.
Lectures, numerical - graphical practice, consultations. Practise are held in groups according to course content from lectures. Requirements for taking the exam are positively evaluated individual tasks, as wellthe required success at the partial examination or completed seminar paper.
