Acquiring knowledge on risk management during realization of all types of construction projects.

Enabling students for the completion of the process of risk management, risk identification, risk quantification and planning of corrective actions and control of the implementation of corrective measures during construction. Acquired knowledge directly can be appliedin practice, as well as in research in the area of risk management in construction.

Detailed analysis of basics and contemporary methods of risk management in construction projects, in terms of of environment, features and limitations of a project. Analysis of the impact of project scope, interest groups, work realization plan, costs, quality, health and safety at work, market costs on the risks of realization of construction projects. The choice of optimal methods for identification and quantification of risk, developing the risk management plan and methods of control of realization of the risk management plan as well as plan modifications.

Lectures, seminar papers, consultations. Lectures present theoretical part of a subject in the form of presentation of particular methodical units, accompanied by contemporary scientific and technical literature from this field and relevant practical examples, with the aim of easy understanding and acquiring of material. In addition to lectures, consultation sessions are held regularly, According to provided information (lectures, literature, consultations and general instructions), a student carries out the research in the field of risk management in construction and writes a seminar paper with a presentation. A complete, positively marked and presented seminar paper is a precondition for taking the exam. The exam covers the entire study material presented throughout the semester and is taken in the form of an oral exam. The exam grade is formed based on the attendance of lectures, seminar paper grade and the oral exam.
