Educational goal:

The main objective of this course is to understand and integrate knowledge about the functioning of the financial instruments markets. The goal is to provide a detailed analysis of the stock markets.

Educational outcome:

Students who complete the course and pass the exam are qualified to (1) understand the role and importance of the market for financial instruments, (2) understand the methods of analysis and decision-making in financial instruments markets, and (3) understand the relationship between various participants in the financial instruments markets.

Course content:

The concept of financial instruments and derivatives, types of financial derivatives, stock exchanges and the OTC financial derivatives markets, standardized financial derivatives, risk management using futures, risk management using options.

Teaching methods:

Teaching includes lectures with examples of domestic and international practice of financial instruments markets functioning. As part of the exercise, trade simulation in real time and with real trading conditions is organized, using educational platforms available online.
