Acquiring theoretical and practical knowledge related to electronic publishing. Special attention is paid to the prerequisites for the development of electronic publishing, a comparative analysis of electronic and print publishing, comparative advantages and disadvantages of electronic publishing, a review of successful electronic publishing projects. Training students for engaging in scientific research and participating in research relevant to contemporary electronic publishing.

Ability to engage in scientific and research work in the field of graphic engineering and design related to contemporary electronic publishing. Students are able to independently analyze open problems, link and apply previously acquired and new knowledge, and to conceive and implement research in the field of modern electronic publishing, using modern computing systems and software packages, as well as the latest Internet technologies. Students will deepen their previously acquired knowledge and skills in the field of criptography and modern methods of document protection. The acquired knowledge and skills will enable a better and more secure exchange of electronic publications.

Electronic publishing: An overview of theoretical and practical knowledge and issues related to electronic publishing, with a special emphasis is on the development of electronic publishing, a comparative analysis of electronically printed publishing, comparative advantages and disadvantages of electronic publishing. Review of realized electronic publishing projects. Outlining, designing, creating and distributing electronic publications. The advantages and disadvantages with which they appear when publishing electronic publications. Procedure for organization and management by publishing electronic publications. Description elements, data processing modality, data protection procedures, methods and methods of authenticating, electronic document exchange formats (XML, etc.). Cryptography: The notion and purpose of cryptography. Introduction to theoretical foundations of cryptography, cryptographic methods, techniques and algorithms. System of public and secret keys in cryptography. Infrastructure for working with public keys. Key management. Digital certificates. Digital signature and qualified electronic signature. Application of cryptography in the protection of electronic documents. Application of acquired knowledge in the field of: e-business, document management systems (documents and electronic documents, legal framework for the use of electronic documents, archiving of electronic documents, document management, document management systems), e-learning.

Teaching is done in the form of lectures and through study research work. The lectures present the theoretical part of the material and show the characteristic examples, using modern information and communication technologies. In addition to lectures, consultations are regularly held. Study research work involves the active monitoring and study of primary scientific sources (journals, monographs and scientific books), performing numerical simulations and experiments, and writing scientific work in the field of subjects
