Digital Workflow in the Graphics Industry is a course designed to explore the technical challenges of content (information) management prior to various outputs, such as PDF and JDF. Whether it be print, multimedia or the web, certain areas must be mastered to create an efficient automated workflow with accurate end results. This course will explore workflow from the standpoint of content creation, production and overall data and job management.

Introducing the structure of digital files - PDF and JDF, Overview of software used for digital workflows in the graphics industry, Overview and understanding the challenges of printing and publishing its content on the Internet, Overview of files in the prepress and publications Creating matching PDF files within a digital workflow, Creating matching PDF files within a digital workflow according to valid ISO standards, Checking PDF files in accordance with PDF-x standard, Implementing PDF files in individual workflows. Implementation of PDF files within JDF files.

Implementation of PDF files in JDF files

Lectures, computer work, , consultations, seminar. Lectures and exercises are realized with the help of presentations with numerous practical examples from real systems and video attachments of new production technologies. Computer work are realized with the help of current software tools where students acquire the necessary knowledge on practical examples. Students independently approach the development of the given topic of seminar work. On the oral part of the exam, only students who have passed the practical part of the exam, ie students who have previously passed computer work and the written part of the exam, are invited to the exam.
