The aim of the course is master client web technologies such as content and presentation technologies (HTML5 and CSS3), the basics of scripting languages (JavaScript), and learning to develop the front-end part of web applications. In addition, the knowledge about history and basic principles and elements of web design, as well as different types of websites will be provided. Through the use of mastered client technologies, the analysis of the structure of the website and the web site, and mastering software tools and frameworks for coding, it is possible to create a complete web site with content adapted to the state-of-the-art web design standards.

Students acquire the competencies for independent development of the client's part of the website. By using client web technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JS) and various HTML editors (Bootstrap, W3C, Sublime, Notepad++), through formatting the basic web page elements (text, color, images, links, tables, lists, audio and video), good structure and correct HTML, CSS and JS documents, students will be able to create web content that meets the criteria of accessibility and functionality.

Current trends in web design. Responsive web design (media queries, flexible networks, flexible images, relative units); One-sided concept of the website (SPA); Multimedia content in web design; vector graphics in web design (canvas, SVG); Flat design; API (geographic position of users, change of position of elements by dragging, local data storage, caching and access to web applications without internet connection, background execution of JS scripts on page performance, SSE); Microdata and SEO optimization. Basic principles of functional and user-friendly design of content, site, site -UI (User Interface). Accessibility and customization of content to the end user - UX (User Experience). Basics of back-end technologies - PHP. Use Adobe Dreamweaver Text Editor; Creating HTML5, CSS3 and JS documents in accordance with the syntax and semantics of the specified web client technologies; Analysis and structure of web pages; Implementation of current trends in web design (responsive web design and multimedia content).

Teaching is done in the form of lectures, computer exercises and consultations that are carried out according to the established schedule. Lectures are conducted using didactic and educational content in electronic and digital form. In lectures, with the use of modern presentations and demonstration tools and techniques with the application of interactive method of work with students in order to gain insight into their background, theoretical part of the material is presented with examples. On computer exercises, students create a demo web application using web-based web technologies (HTML5 / CSS3 / JS), which is confirmed by the creation of an independent project representing functional web site on selected topic.
