The purpose of this course is to provide students with theoretical and practical knowledge about IT project management. After finishing the course, students will be able to manage IT project through all its phases.

By acquiring theoretical knowledge, solving real-life problems and developing independent projects students will gain qualifocation to manage IT project according to the latest methodologies.

Theoretical fundamentals of projects management. Processes and different areas of knowledge which are required during project management are introduced. Following aspects of the project management are presented: amount of work to be done, consuming of time, expenses, human resources management, quality of work, communication, risks, integration and participants into the project. MS project tool is used as a computer support for the project management process.

The lectures will provide students with theoretical knowledge from the project management with actual examples from the practice of managing IT projects. At the exercises, the students will use the MS Project tool and examples of projects will be presented to them. Students will be grouped in teams and they will select their own project and implement all project management activities.
