ECTS 6

Mastering the basic concepts for analysis and modelling of business processes in infrastructural methods for creation of business process models, and methods for implementation and tracking of processes. Learning about standard business processes in infrastructural systems.

Students will be trained to create business process models of high quality in infrastructural systems, through defining system mission and strategy, modelling system functions, and monitoring and analysis of the performance of the business processes. Students will gain knowledge of the standard business processes in infrastructural systems.

Basics of business process modelling for infrastructure systems. The business processing in infrastructural systems, e.g. power distribution management system, outage management system, SCADA, GIS, etc. Methodologies for business process integration. Modelling standards and notations in the field of BPM. BPM design patterns and applications. IDEF0 methodology for development of business process models. ARIS approach to modelling and integration of business processes.

Teaching is performed through lessons, oral and computer exercises (in the computer classroom), as well as consultations. Through the teaching process, students are constantly motivated to an intensive discussion, problem oriented reasoning, independent study work and active participation in the whole lecturing process.
