Educational goal:

The aim of the subject is acquiring necessary knowledge for programming of smart grid low level components

Educational outcome:

The outcome of the subject are skills required to use and program low level components present in smart grids.

Course content:

Basics of computer control systems. Physical components applied in smart grids. Embedded systems and their use in smart grid. System and application software of process embedded computers. Design, coding and testing of system and application softer for process control computers. Standard IEC61131-3 and its use in smart grid. Examples and lab practice. The use in smart grid software model. Algorithms overview and data model in smart grids. Numeric calculations in smart grids.

Teaching methods:

Lectures; Computer practice; Consultations. Throughout the computer practice student is required to complete practically oriented tasks.
