ECTS 6

Students learn how to model, desing and use microprocessor systems with multimicroprocessor parallel processing.

Students who complete this course with success will be able to: -design, simulate and implement the hardware of a simple mcroprocessor system based on the multimicroprocessor parallel processing -model, design, simulate and implement simple application and system programmes for a given multimicroprocessor system - stay up-to-date with the cutting edge literature in the field of parallel processing and multimicroprocessor systems.

The overview of up-to-date computer systems with simultaneous processing. The structure and classification of computer systems with simultaneous processing. Multimicroprocessor systems, structure and classification. Symetrical multimicroprocessor systems, structures, problems and applications. Open research questions in the field of simultaneous processing and multimicroprocessor systems.

The theoretical basis is presented to students at lectures given by the professor. Students can give short presentations on assigned topics during the lectures. At the laboratory practice teaching assistens conduct the introductory practical classes. Students are oblidged to prepare at home for each laboratory practice and bring a written preparation/report if required for a specific practice exercise.
