Students should be introduced to the principles and standards for designing of computer networks.
The student is able to independently create a project of computer networks based on Internet Protocol.
The analysis requires the selection of networking models in enterprise computer networks. Service planning and service quality policy definition. Selection of equipment for network infrastructure. Rules and standards for the implementation of network services. Planning the address space of the computer network for IPv4 and IPv6. Designing a logical network architecture. Defining port types, logical separation and aggregation of traffic to the network access layer. Redundancy design, reliability and load distribution across layers. Selection of protocols for internal and external routing of traffic in company's computer networks. Design of NTP service. The analysis requires the design of VPN service redefining. Defining the protection policy and selecting a firewall technology. Selection of the model and design of the company's computer network management system: log analysis, SNMP, TR-069. Design of a converged network of companies. Protocols for service convergence and traffic engineering: MPLS, RVSP, LDP. Design and realization of software-defined networks. The analysis requires the design of virtual infrastructure. Methods for virtualization of the infrastructure and resources of the computer network. Specificity of designing computer networks in data centers. Methods for testing and evaluating network services. Audit in computer networks of companies and public institutions.
