Acquiring basic knowledge in the field of computer application in realization of measuring and control systems using the concept of virtual instrumentation. Familiarizing with the realization of virtual instruments and their hardware and software architecture. Acquiring knowledge about realization of measuring devices using the concept of virtual instrumentation. Mastering the student with modern technologies and trends in the field of measurement and signal analysis. Acquiring knowledge from the basics of computer-based design of measuring systems.
Ability to know the work of computers in the realization of measurement-regulation systems and principles of operation of virtual instruments. Ability to know the principles of measuring devices and program realization in the LabVIEW software package. Ability to realize measurement, acquisition and data processing using virtual instrumentation and LabVIEW. Training for realization of simple measuring systems.
Introduction to virtual instrumentation. Characteristics of virtual instruments. Characteristics of software and hardware of virtual instrumentation. Connecting and controlling the instrument. The term distributive virtual instrumentation. Realization of distant measurements. Virtual laboratories. LabVIEW software package. Creating a Virtual Instrument (VI). Running the program and removing errors. Creating VI and sub-VIA. Loops and structures. Event guided programming. Grouping data using strings, arrays, and clusters. Local and global variables.
