Acquiring the knowledge about fundamentals of signals in contemporary measurement and information systems, as well as tools and procedures for signal analysis and processing.
Understanding types of signals and parameters which characterize them. Understanding different procedures for their acquisition and archiving. Application of procedures for signal analysis and processing in contemporary measurement and information systems.

Analytical and statistical parameters of signals. Characterization of some specific types of quasi-deterministic signals. Characterization of stochastic signals.
