Educational goal:

Training students to work with modern metering equipment in the mechanical engineering. Application of computer technologies for remote control of complex industrial processes. Data collection and visualization of the state of the process. Advanced programmable logic controllers (PLCs) designed to work in an industrial environment. Modern ways of exchange of information within industrial systems.

Educational outcome:

Selection and use of acquisition equipment in mechanical engineering. Complex PLC control schemes Advanced knowledge of logic controller programming. Detailed knowledge of modern industrial communication protocols. Control system for control and data collection in industry.

Course content:

Measuring systems in mechanical engineering. PLC - complex management concepts, possible extensions. Advanced programming via SCL language. Communication protocols of lower order and higher order (MODBUS, PROFIBUS, PROFINET). Networking equipment. Examples of communication between PLCs, with frequency regulator. Connect to eternet and the Internet. Control system for control and data collection in mechanical engineering.
