Educational goal:

Introduction to the fundamentals of energy and process transformations and operations, and the ways of their analysis and operation improvement.

Educational outcome:

Gained knowledge of simultaneous analysis of material and energy flows in real industrial plants.

Course content:

Fundamental terminology of energy and process engineering fields. Classifications. Examples of various industrial applications. Application of conservation principles. Mass and energy transport phenomena. Energy transformations. Cycles. Plants and devices for energy transformations (boilers, steam turbines, pumps, condensers, generators). Concentration expressions. Fundamental unit operations, their industria applications and control management. Moist air.
