Introducing students to the software product life cycle and the different methodologies, standards and tools that support the life cycle of the software product as a whole or in any of its phases.
Students gain knowledge about different methodologies, standards and tools of software development. Students are able to select and actively use optimal methodology and tools for particular software project, and to explain their choice.
Software product life cycle; phases of life cycle; importance of applying the methodology for software development; history of development methodologies; software development models, models based on the waterfall, iterative and incremental models; Bems spiral model, models based on prototypes; agile methodologies (SCRUM, ekstreme programming, Feature Driven Development - FDD, Dynamic Systems Development Method – DSDM, Kristal, Adaptive Software Development - ASD); automated software development, modern tools for planning, design, construction and documenting; tools for teamwork support and tracking project progress.
