The students are able to use the literature and conduct research in the field of human–computer interaction in the broadest sense - Human Centered Computing: real-worlds entities and societies of agents, situation-aware assistance, adaptivity, interaction among users-tasks-location, communication channels, interaction devices and techniques, collaboration and shared reality, personalization and customizability. Special emphasis is put on the problems of evaluation of usability and contemporary interaction techniques concerning individual use, Computer Supported Cooperative Work (CSCW), stationary or hand held computers.

The students are able to use the literature and conduct research in the field of Human Centered Computing.

Results and challenges of Human Centered Computing: infrastructure, societies of Agents - people and places, user preferences - utility functions - context - services, ethics, policy, usability engineering. Problems and solutions in the area of contemporary interactive computer systems – conventional systems, mobile systems, virtual systems. Computer Supported Cooperative Work system interaction. Part of the course is conducted through individual research and study work in the field of interaction. The study and research work is based on active study of primary scientific sources and possible paper in the field of interaction.

Forms of teaching include lectures, practical work on computer, project development and consultations. During the lectures the content of the course is presented using the necessary didactic means and the active participation on the part of the students is ensured by assigning them the presentation of the selected topics. The practical aspect of the course is covered through work on computers. The students aer expected to develop an individual project.
