Students gain advanced knowledge in the field of research and the contemporary approaches in the field of the development and exploitation of information systems.

Acquiring knowledge for the analysis of current approaches and solutions in the field of the development of information systems, as well as various applications of contemporary approaches to the information system development and its exploitation in complex business systems.

Contemporary approaches and methods in the field of the information system development. Issues in industry practice applications of information systems in various problem domains. Examples of practical applications. Independent study and research work in the field of contemporary approaches in the information system development and applications. The analysis and active use of the primary research sources.

Teaching is performed through: lectures, research work, completing a project, and consultations. Through the teaching process, students are constantly motivated to an intensive discussion, problem oriented reasoning, independent research work and active participation in the whole lecturing process. Students are required to complete an individual project. Preparing a research paper from the course topics is appreciated.
