Educational goal:

Acquiring knowledge in the field of computer aided preparation and realization of the production of complex and multi functional manufacturing systems.

Educational outcome:

This course covers using of CAM software in the fields of machining of complex workpieces on multiaxis CNC machines and and flexible technological systems. Topics includes defining the technology of machining of an complex workpieces, simulation of processing, analysis and verification of complex tool paths as well as optimization of NC programms for flexible technology systems.

Course content:

Introduction to the problem of multi-axis CNC machines and flexible technological systems. Methods for CNC programming for multi-axis machining. Application of the polar coordinates, Euler angles and the vector description of the tool path. Programming of measurement and manipulation systems in FTS. CAM programming systems for FTS. Analysis of tool path errors. Methods of tool path optimization. Program systems for verification and optimization of paths for NUMA.

Teaching methods:

Lectures, independent study research work, consultancy. Lectures are conducted in combination. Lectures presents the theoretical part of the material accompanied by characteristic examples for easy understanding of the material. Through study research work student, studying scientific journals and other literature and own deepens curriculum with lectures. In addition to working teacher with the student, he is trained to write own scientific work.
