Educational goal:

Expansion of existing and acquiring new knowledge in the field of computer aided design

Educational outcome:

The course includes introduction to the methods of designing complex products. Topics include methods used at all stages of the product design process with the support of appropriate software systems

Course content:

Introduction in the area of computer aided design. Methods for product design in the stages of defining the concept of products, designing parts and designing assemblies. Using og appropriate approaches to defining a geometric model and a virtual prototype. Appropriate approaches to the design phases that are conditioned by the goals of applying the virtual prototype. Product systems for product design. Procedures for customizing CAD program systems to the user for the purposes of scientific research.

Teaching methods:

Lectures, independent study research work, consultancy. Lectures are conducted in combination. Lectures presents the theoretical part of the material accompanied by characteristic examples for easy understanding of the material. Through study research work student, studying scientific journals and other literature and own deepens curriculum with lectures. In addition to working teacher with the student, he is trained to write own scientific work.
