Educational goal:

Acquisition knowledge in the field of analysis machine construction, using the finite element method.

Educational outcome:

This course covers advanced CAE tools for visual computing simulation and analysis. Topics include modeling and data exchange by exporting and importing various CAD model formats, as well as structure and thermal analysis. Multi-physics analyses of the parts machine tools, such as thermal-structure are studied.

Course content:

Introduction to CAE. Structure of program systems based on finite element method. Modeling parts using finite elements. Structural analysis of the 2D model. Structural analysis of 3D models. Thermal analysis of 2D model analysis. Thermal analysis of the 3D model. Thermal-mechanical analysis of individual parts of the machine tool.

Teaching methods:

Lectures, independent study research work, consultancy. Lectures are conducted in combination. Lectures presents the theoretical part of the material accompanied by characteristic examples for easy understanding of the material. Through study research work student, studying scientific journals and other literature and own deepens curriculum with lectures. In addition to working teacher with the student, he is trained to write own scientific work.
