Educational goal:

Acquiring knowledge in the field of CNC machine tools and his integration in flexible technological systems.

Educational outcome:

This course includes acquaintance with modern approaches to industrial production based on flexible technological systems. Topics include the directions of the improvement of machine tools with numerical control: increasing accuracy, improvement in control systems, new machine tool concepts, etc. In addition, the approach to production is addressed in terms of technological requirements of different types of industry

Course content:

Introduction into area of flexible technological systems. Machine tool components as the basis of flexible technological systems: main spindles, components for feedrate subsystems, control systems. Modern approach to the development of machine tools for turning, milling and grinding. New concepts of machine tool building: parallel kinematic structure, mini and micro machine tools. Flexible technological systems and applications in various industries: car, airline industry, ...

Teaching methods:

Lectures, independent study research work, consultancy. Lectures are conducted in combination. Lectures presents the theoretical part of the material accompanied by characteristic examples for easy understanding of the material. Through study research work student, studying scientific journals and other literature and own deepens curriculum with lectures. In addition to working teacher with the student, he is trained to write own scientific work.
