Development of the skills and expertise for application of internet technologies in modern manufacturing. Analysis of advanced methodologies and systems which enable manufacturing data exchange at the global level. Possibilities and methods of Internet-based collaborative engineering within distributied manufacturing systems.

Course content:

Concept of digital factory and digital manufacturing. Application of internet technologies in production engineering. Components of e-Manufacturing. Hierarchical levels of e-Manufacturing. Process planning in the e-Manufacturing conditions. Fundamental characteristics and structure of process planning systems in e-Manufacturing. Aspects of product technologicality in e-Manufacturing. Collaborative e-Manufacturing. Collaborative engineering environment and systems. WEB-based collaborative product design and process planning. Standards for data exchange in the Web-based manufacturing process.

Teaching methods:

Lectures, study research work and consultations. The lectures provide a theoretical part of the material using modern equipment and information and communication technologies. Through lectures, a student acquires and mastered contemporary scientific knowledge, scientific methods and procedures that enable him to become independent research work. In addition to lectures, consultations are also held regularly. Study research work includes all forms of teaching that are in the function of directly training a student for research, writing scientific papers and making a doctoral dissertation. Study research work includes active monitoring of primary scientific sources, organization and execution of numerical simulations and experimental research.
