ECTS 10

Acquiring basic knowledge on material flows, their form, spatial and time transformation, as well as the organization and optimization of material flows in production and logistics systems.

Students acquire basic knowledge of material flows in supply chains, their type, structure and characteristics. They become familiar with simulations as the most modern tool for designing, analyzing and optimizing material flows in production and logistics systems.

Supply chains; inventory in supply chains; supply chain performance analysis; distribution strategies; push / pull material flows; planning, organization, coordination and optimization of material flows in production and logistic systems using simulations.

Lectures, study research work and consultations. The lectures provide a theoretical part of the material using modern equipment and information and communication technologies. Through lectures, a student acquires and mastered contemporary scientific knowledge, scientific methods and procedures that enable him to become independent research work. In addition to lectures, consultations are also held regularly. Study research work includes all forms of teaching that are in the function of directly training a student for research, writing scientific papers and making a doctoral dissertation. Study research work includes active monitoring of primary scientific sources, organization and execution of numerical and computer simulations and experimental research.
