Acquiring knowledge, developing scientific abilities, academic and practical skills on complex problems of using district heating and heating systems.

Fundamental knowledge of the problems in the field of district heating and cooling in theory and practice. Ability to independently solve practical and theoretical problems using scientific methods and procedures in this field. Mastering the creative abilities and methods of using district distribution of energy.

The content of the course includes the following areas related to district energy supply (heating and cooling): Planning and selecting the system for district energy supply; Design of steam and hot water system; Distribution system; Connecting with end users; Heat storage; Regulation and measurement instrumentation; Integration of renewable and other non-conventional heat sources - the concept of IV generation of district energy supply; System maintenance.

Lectures, independent study and research work, consultations. Lectures are held in combined way. Theoretical part is presented in lectures and it is followed by appropriate exampled contributing easier understanding of the subject content. Students expand knowledge through study and research work, studying of scientific journals and other literature. In cooperation with professor, student is enabled or independently write scientific papers.
