Subject: Calculations of Unbalanced Distribution Networks (17.DE521)

General information:

Category Scientific-professional
Scientific or art field Electroenergetics
ECTS 10

Acquiring of basic knowledge from the unbalance, especially mixed distribution networks, as well as, basic calculation in distribution networks – load flow and short circuit. Furthermore, it is necessary handling algorithms of the other power systems calculations which uses results of load flow and short circuit. For example, state estimation, network reconfiguration, relay protection.

The main goal is capability for the follow calculation of unbalanced distribution networks: 1. Load flow 2. Short circuit 3. State estimation 4. Network reconfiguration 5. Relay protection.

Fundamentals of unbalanced (including mixed) distribution networks. Distribution networks numerated, especially mixed distribution networks. Modeling one phase, as well as, three phases connection of one phase transformers, including open connections. Two basic calculation for distribution networks – load flow and short circuit, as well as, the other functions which uses results of load flow and short circuit – state estimation, network reconfiguration, relay protection etc.
