Students get theoretical and practical knowledge necessary for application of artificial intelligence techniques in biomedical engineering.

- knowledge about artificial intelligence techniques; - knowledge about the applications of machine learning techniques for modelling the nonlinear processes in human body.

Foundations of Computer-Assisted Decision Making. Reasoning Methodologies. The applications of machine learning techniques (neural networks, support vector machines, fuzzy logic etc.) for modelling the nonlinear processes in human body. Data preprocessing and selection. Choice of the model structure (static, dynamic, model order selection). Model validation.
