Educational goal:

Mastering the student with automatic control systems based on computer (artificial) intelligence methods.

Educational outcome:

Acquired knowledge can be used to solve specific engineering problems.

Course content:

Application of artificial neural networks in identification, diagnosis, prediction and control systems. Fuzzy logic in control systems. Expert systems and decision support systems based on fuzzy logic. "Neuro-fuzzy" systems: combining fuzzy logic and neural networks in control. Genetic algorithms in control systems optimization. Design of classical and neuro-fuzzy controllers using a genetic algorithm. Support vector machines and their application in the identification and control systems.

Teaching methods:

Lectures; Computer exercises; Consultations. The examination is written and oral. The written part is eliminating. The final grade is formed on the basis of written examination (or colloquia), tests, written and oral parts of the examination.
