Acquiring ability to design sound and light for the performing events, i.e., for the construction of visual and sound image I personal artistic work.

Students’ ability to creatively employ sound and lighting design to create both individual and collective works in the field of scene architecture and design. The course should enable students to apply acquired theoretical and practical knowledge to their own creative process.

Sound and light design in the methodology of constructing performing space. Active listening and hearing. Understanding and interpretation of sound and visual image. Basis of visual and auditive perception. Interaction in sensory modalities in the building of percept. Basic principles of constructing visual and auditive image in the areas of sound and light design for performing events. Creative means in the areas of sound and light design for performing events. Sound and light design in theatre, as well as in out of theatre practices.

Discussions in the framework of lectures and exercises. Practical work with the technical equipment in the Scene Laboratory “Borislav Gvojić“. Individual and group consultations during the creative process. The final project consists of sound and light design for the final performance/exhibition of the Artistic practices in scene design course.
