Introduction of students to the basic elements, functions, features and processes of the city and its open spaces, which should enable the performance of scene modes and events that raise the cultural awareness of the population. Students will analyzed all spatial levels of the city, the urban area, through the individual fragments to the elements of street furniture, as well as their interactions with each other and overlapping relationships in order to identify and understand the complex and ambiguous relationships that make up the urban environment and atmosphere.

Students who fulfill all the obligations specified the curriculum subjects Urban Design will be trained in spotting logical and professional relationships in urban areas, particularly in terms of linking the cultural needs of the population and the open spaces of the city, to be able in best way to meet these needs. Students should develop sensitivities to best perceive the potential and characteristics of urban space in which is possible to place an active social and cultural life, and that they can participate in its planning.

The broader context of development towns in the contemporary moment, the process of urbanization and globalization and their impact on the transformation of urban spaces; complex role of urban design in the development of modern cities, public spaces as a framework of processes and dynamics, as well as a range of events; typology of public space, features and components urban open space; Ambijens ofi different scales and programs that are in them - case studies.

Illustrative-demonstrative methods, methods of analysis and synthesis, interaction and exchange of experiences and ideas between participants in the learning process
