Historical development of the stylistic forms in interior and furniture design.

Gaining the basic knowledge in the field of stylistic and historical development of the interior and furniture in European culture and the cultures that have contributed to it. Identifying characteristics of stylistic forms in the interior and furniture design. The ability for evaluation of historic interiors.

The emergence of the interior; interiors in prehistory; ancient styles; Greece; Rome; the Byzantine and early Christian interiors; interiors in Islamic and Asian cultures; interiors in medieval Europe; interiors in the Renaissance; the style and the interior of the Baroque and Rococo; colonial style; Regency; Georgian style; Kent; Chippendale; Classicism; Directoire, Adam style; Happlewhite; Sheraton; Empire, Biedermeier, Art Nouveau, the emergence of the Modern interiors and furniture, Art-Deco.
