Introduction to the basic theories and conceptual frameworks that define the emergence of works in architecture, urbanism and design. Self-development capabilities and a common theoretical research. The evaluation and assessment of the interaction of different levels and layers of existing facilities. Development of synthesis opinions about architecture. Establishing an attitude towards the theories of architecture and space, as well as own theoretical thinking.

Abilities and competences for the highest level of individual and collective actions in the field of theory and criticism of architecture, urbanism and design. Developed abilities for study, use, understanding, interpretation and application of theoretical texts and principles in general.

Definition of basic concepts of theory and criticism in architecture, urban planning and design, interpretation of theoretical principles, the application of theoretical knowledge about the development of architecture. Types, forms and methods of critical writing. Research work in architecture, urbanism and design - principles, methods, techniques, processes. Methods and techniques of research. Independent and team work. The formation and structure of the team. The functions of the team. Building and management of workflow within the team. External evaluation and self-assessment.

Lectures and workshops. Term paper and oral exam.
