Identifying and understanding the relationship between social factors and architectural discourse. Understanding the way in which architectural theory and practice operates in that space between. Defining feedback and the process of internalization between production of space and social structure, with special emphasis on changes in architectural discourse between the two ends of architecture as an autonomous, self-conscious discipline and architecture where society is the only cause and content of architectural space

Student's ability to identify and analyze relationships and relationships between social phenomena and the creation / design process and the ability to interpret and critically relate to contemporary architectural spatial practices.

Change and intensity of relations between social factors and architectural discourse. How does architectural theory and practice work in that space between? Establishing back links between the production of architectural space and the social structure within that complex, non-hierarchical, heterogeneous transitional space. Projective architecture as a process of entering social values into space and vice versa. The place and importance of transitional and liminal spaces in architectural theory and practice.
