The objective of the course is to introduce students to new aspects of the consideration of the architectural programme, its multilayered capacity, interpretation and discourse analysis, within the framework of research, design and creative practices.

Students will be able to perform complex analyzes of the architectural work, to determine its programmatic basis and programme’s relations towards a context, as well as to apply acquired knowledge in their own research and design practice.

Traditional and contemporary comprehension of programme in architecture; programme architecture, its conception and development; the issue of the architectural programme in Modernism; Modernism and modernization through the architecture program; programming of space; functions of the architectural program; program and social context; program and typological approach to architecture; program as text; program as a manifest; programme utopias; the contemporary potential of the programme and its relations to the social moment; ambivalence of the programme.
