Aim of the course is to introduce students to discourse of spectacle in modern society, spaces in which occurs and technology which use,also to terms theatricalizing city and urbanization spectacle.

After finishing course student is expected to understand relation between spectacle and space, also to know history and theory use of technology in the function of creating and realization spectacle. Student is expected to have built personal views, ability to present them, argument and problematize verbally.

Spaces of theatre performance. Dramatic, scenic and architectural spaces. Spacial levels of theatre performance - from the city to the scene. Theatre building as performing space. Theatre building as space for spectacle. Spectacle outside theatre. Architecture and the city as spaces for spectacle and as spectacle. Urbanisation of spectacle. Spectacularisation of the city. Contribution of new theatre technologies to the development of spectacle. Role of technology in contemporary spectacle. Technology as driving force and as outcome. Creative relationship towards new technologies - selection, logic of use and application.
