Acquiring knowledge on project management for projects that are being done according to the BIM methodology.

Ability to apply the BIM methodology in the project management of construction projects. The acquired knowledge can be directly applied in engineering practice.

Introduction to the application of BIM methodology in the management of construction processes from the aspect of controlling costs, time and quality. General about BIM methodology, BIM processes, how to manage BIM projects and implement them when planning and realizing construction works. Analysis of the construction process from the aspect of information from the BIM model and the development of construction management plans as well as the reports on the realization of the works. Communication in BIM group. Scheduling of construction works - 4D model. Construction price calculation - 5D model.

Lectures, auditory exercises, research papers and consultations. The lectures present theoretical part of the teaching in the form of presentations of individual method units followed by appropriate examples from practice, for easier understanding and convaying of the knowledge. On auditory exercises, lectures with more active participation of students are discussed in more detail. In addition to lectures and exercises, consultations are also held regularly. The student, on the basis of the obtained information (lectures, literature, consultations and general instructions at the beginning of the exercise), solves the assigned tasks and makes research papers based on the work in BIM. Written and positively assessed seminars are the condition for entering the exam. The exam covers the entire material presented during the semester and is taken orally. Grade is formed based on the attendance of lectures and exercises, evaluation of research papers and oral exam.
