The field of this subject is modern and contemporary art. The subject deals with and explains the ways in which an artistic work is carried out within contemporary art. The subject explains the technological processes of the creation of an artistic work today. The artwork is examined within the subject from the aspect of theoretical reading and philosophical theses represented by contemporary philosophers, and this aspect explains the artistic practices of certain artists. By listening to a course, a student acquires knowledge about the connection between the idea and the creative process, the ways in which the work process is carried out in contemporary art practice and the importance and relationships established by contemporary art practice.

The goal of this course is to train students to go down behind the perception reflexes and creative approach to the problem of trained perception and creative knowledge. The student learns the ways in which a modern work of art created with an explanation of the process. The student works on practical work within a multi-team team that develops a unique idea based on the topic they have chosen themselves. Students in their visual work use learned lessons and apply to their work. The student understands basic methodological approaches in the work of contemporary artists and tries to apply it scientifically. It is also learned that the idea for its work is expressed through a theoretical aspect, explaining the context and meaning of what it presents.

Lectures / projects / participation of students in professional and scientific work / Lectures are performed with a pdf presentation which consists of reproduction of artworks that support a specific topic presented and numerous video attachments that additionally support understanding of the theme. Some topics chosen by students are visual work supported by text that explains the work. Visual work implies one of the categories of artistic activity. Presentation of visual work is explained at the end of the semester in the form of lectures. Presentation is the final result of students' work and based on it the student is formed an assessment.
