The goal of this subject is to provide introduction of mathematical functions and transformations often used in image processing. Thorough analysis of this mathematical models allows their application in a wide filed of image processing tasks.

Students will acquire knowledge of most important mathematical properties of different image processing operators.

1. basic concepts of image processing. 2. Linear transformations. 3. Image enhancement. 4. Fourier transform. 5. Radon transform. 6. Experimental work in Matlab environment.

Lectures. Mentor type work. Experimental work in the computer laboratory.
