ECTS 6

To acquire the knowledge of physics which is applied in numerical simulations.

The students will have acquired the knowledge which enables them to develop models and simulations of complex systems.

Monte Carlo method and its applications; Random walks on a lattice; Irreversible deposition (RSA); Simulations of complex systems

Lectures. (The student can choose in consultation with co-mentor, one or more modules depending on module scope). Consultations. Lectures are organized in combined form. The presentation of the theoretical part is followed by the corresponding examples. In addition to lectures there are regular consultations. Through research and study work the student will, on the bases of scientific journals and other relevant literature, independently develop a simulation of a concrete system.
