The main objective of this subject is intorduction to the basic techniques and methods of the tomographycal reconstruction of digital images. Special attention is delivered to the real applications in human medicine, including different methods in radiology, for example Roentgen and CT.

Knowledge of basic terms and methods in tomography.

1. Basics of digital image processing. 2. Definition of the tomography problem. 4. Different types of projection techniques. 5. Transformation of the reconstruction problem into linear type problem. 6. Introduction into real applications, including Roentgen, CT and PET.

Lectures. Mentor type work. Experimental work in the computer laboratory.
