To enable students to think abstractly and to apply knowledge acquired in linear algebra.
Student is competent to use mathematical models and methods of linear algebra in practical work and further education.
Solving systems of linear equations. Solving linear least squares problems. Calculation of eigenvalues for symmetric matrices. Calculation of eigenvalues for non-symmetric matrices. Error analysis. Block generalizations. Applications in engineering. MATLAB algorithms.
Lectures. Demonstrations. Consultations. Lectures are organized in combined form. The presentation of the theoretical part is followed by the corresponding examples which contribute to better understanding of the theoretical part. Demonstrations follow the lectures and consist of practical examples. In addition to lectures and demonstrations, there are regular consultations.
