Full Professor in the scientific field of Process Planning, Manufacturing Optimization and Virtual Design. Received the scientific degree Doctor of Sciences (PhD) from University of Novi Sad, Faculty of Technical Sciences, where he defended his dissertation "Collaborative System for Manufacturing Process Planning based on Internet Technologies" in 2012. He is a lecturer on several subjects at the bachelor, master and PhD academic studies of Production Engineering at the Faculty of Technical Sciences. He was head of the Laboratory of process planning, manufacturing optimisation and virtual design and currently is head of the Chair of machine tools, process planning, flexible technological systems and design processes. He participated in more than 20 scientific research projects from national and international programs, including projects of the Ministry of Education, Scientific and Technological Development of Republic of Serbia and the Province of Vojvodina, TEMPUS and CEEPUS. Coordinated the research projects "Application of collaborative engineering for improving sustainable manufacturing process" and "Application of smart manufacturing in Industry 4.0" and he currently is a participant in two national research projects: "Modern approaches to the development of special bearings in mechanical engineering and medical prosthetics" and "Application of edge computing and artificial intelligence methods in smart products", and CEEPUS project "Implementation and utilization of e-leaning systems in study area of production engineering in Central European Region". He got the Certificate of Innovation Consultant in framework of Innovation Consultants Development Programme, Support to Enterprise Development and Entrepreneurship Programme. He is a reviewer in Journal of Expert Systems with Application, Journal of Computer Integrated Manufacturing and Journal of Production Engineering. Author and co-author of over 160 publications (20 papers in SCI journals) in research field: Process Planning, CAPP systems, Manufacturing Database Development, Collaborative Engineering, Smart Manufacturing, Internet Technologies in Production Engineering, Industry 4.0, IIoT and Cloud Manufacturing.
